    • "1731 2 Mar Jo Exilby and Ann Allanson of Cundall and Ripon married with license."  Ripon Parish Register Microfiche.
         I struggled a little with the fact that John and Ann were married with license and that he was named as a householder (but not a gentleman) in the Cundall record, but his son was named a pauper at his death.  The fact that William was named a husbandman at his marriage helps the connection. William was probably only old enough at his father's death to barely remember him.  He was not legal age at his mother's death.
